We've created this team because..

We're taking part in Walk for Epilepsy around Australia because...

We want to raise money and make a difference for people living with epilepsy, 1 in 25 people have Epilepsy, Epilepsy can occur at any stage of your life. And our amazingly brave little man, Chase has been diagnosed with Epilepsy, he has had 4 seizures over a nearly 2 year period. He is now on medication and we are hoping that this course of action is going to work for him. Prior to his first seizure, at 5 years old Chase had never had a seizure and rarely got sick. Chase doesn't call his seizures, seizures, instead he calls them 'Jack Hammers'. This is because when he has a seizure he is aware they are happening and he has described them as feeling like a 'Jack Hammer'. Chase has been an absolute legend throughout this journey and has handled the MRIs, EEG, blood tests, doctors appointments and daily medication like a champ, he has made us so incredibly proud. His resilience and bravery has been astounding, he never complains, he just does what is asked of him.
