FAQs
What is Walk for Epilepsy?
Walk for Epilepsy is an online fundraising event to support people living with epilepsy. You can participate anywhere in Australia (or the world), simply by signing up and setting your own kilometre and fundraising targets. Your efforts will make a real difference to improving the lives of people living with epilepsy.
Who organises Walk for Epilepsy?
Walk for Epilepsy was started by the Epilepsy Foundation in 2017. Since then we’ve grown into a national event, with partner organisations in every state and territory. By signing up, you can support either the Epilepsy Foundation, Epilepsy ACT, Epilepsy Centre, Epilepsy Queensland, Epilepsy Tasmania or Epilepsy WA.
How far do I have to walk?
That’s entirely up to you! You can set your own target when you register, tailored to whether you’d like to walk, run, swim or cycle. Pick from one of the pre-filled goals or set your own! You can also adjust your target at any point during the Walk.
How do I track my distance?
There are plenty of ways to keep track of your steps. By linking your Fitbit or Strava account, you can automatically sync your outings to the Walk for Epilepsy total head here for more details. If you’d rather add your kilometres manually, no problem! Just login to your account here, select ‘My Fitness Activity, and add your date and distance.
