We’re walking together to raise awareness and funds for epilepsy, a cause that is incredibly close to our hearts.

One of us lives with epilepsy personally, so for us, this walk isn’t just about raising money. It’s about standing together for everyone whose life has been affected by epilepsy and shining a light on the parts of this condition that people don’t always see.

Epilepsy is so much more than seizures. There’s the physical side, but there’s also a huge mental and emotional side that can be invisible to everyone else. The fear and uncertainty of not knowing when another seizure could happen, the exhaustion, medication and side effects, appointments, restrictions, loss of independence, and the emotional weight of having to live around something you can’t always control.

We’re walking for the people living through those things every day. We’re walking for their families, friends and support systems who stand beside them. And most importantly, we’re walking to remind people with epilepsy that they aren’t alone. 💜
