I’m taking part in Walk for Epilepsy because...

Nearly two years ago our lives were turned upside down when our just turned 6 month old second child had her first seizure. It went for over an hour long, after a 4 day stay in hospital we were sent home with rescue medication and no answers ! Until 6 weeks later the second one of 30 minutes long. It was a long hard road of hospital trips weekly if not daily many hospital stays and trialling medications failing 8 and allergic to 3 of them ! Till now we finally have some sort of control over the seizures, less frequent. There is so little known about this common condition, I have learnt so much and have never stopped learning about it since the diagnosis. Epilepsy Queensland were there when we were so lost in the beginning one of their nurses was able to help ease the mind and answer any questions. I want to raise money and make a difference for people living with epilepsy. Please help me by giving whatever you can using the 'Donate' button.
