I’m taking part in Walk for Epilepsy because...

I want to help raise awareness for people living with epilepsy and make a meaningful difference in their lives.

My younger brother, Lincoln, was diagnosed with epilepsy when he was very young, and every day our family sees the challenges that come with this condition. Two years ago, we discovered that Lincoln has two brain lesions, which are the cause of his epilepsy. These lesions have also led to several other complications, the most significant being that he is unable to speak.

Watching someone you love face these challenges has shown me just how important awareness, research, and support are! Not only for those living with epilepsy, but for the families who walk alongside them every single day.

Through this fundraiser, I hope to raise both awareness and funds to support epilepsy research, resources, and families navigating similar journeys. I also hope to make a positive impact on the lives of children living with epilepsy, helping them access the support they need and reminding families that they are not alone.
