I’m taking part in Walk for Epilepsy because...

Ā šŸ’œāļøMum’s Light, Rye’s FightāļøšŸ’œ

I’m raising money in the hope of one day making a real difference — to help make life a little easier for people living with epilepsy. My goal is to support ongoing research and improvements to treatments, so that medication becomes more effective in preventing and controlling seizures, giving those affected a chance at a more manageable and less restrictive life.

This cause is very close to my heart as I lost my mother to epilepsy and in April 2024, my 14-year-old son had his first seizure after many tests Ā and several more seizures he was diagnosed with status epilepticus which was absolutely devastating & terrifying to hear that your son has been diagnosed with the same disease that took my mothers life and to see the affect It had on my son not only physically, but emotionally and mentally as well Is heartbreaking as the diagnosis Ā means many changes and restrictions to what was once normal everyday activities as there are certain things he can no longer do or take part in due to the safety risk involved and has often left him feeling many different emotions because he no longer has control of Ā his own life, and his choices have been taken away from him.

I want to give him hope and a sense of control back so he can live a fuller, happier life with fewer limitations & restrictions. It’s Through fundraising that we can help make that future possible for not only my son but all those living with epilepsy.

So If you couldĀ Please support this cause by donating to my page It would be very much appreciated as every little bit helps! šŸ™

You can donate by clicking the ā€˜Donate’ button on my page (link below).

https://www.walkforepilepsy.org.au/fundraisers/amberstewart.

Even if you can’t donate, please share this post with friends, family co-workers etc you’d still be helping as theĀ more people who see the page the more money & awareness we can raise and the closer we get to being able to offer better treatments and hopefully one day a cure.

Thank you so much for your kindness, generosity, and support. It truly means the world. šŸ’œ
