I’m taking part in Walk for Epilepsy because...

I want to raise money and make a difference for people living with epilepsy. Please help me by giving whatever you can using the 'Donate' button. The more people that know about the walk, the greater the impact, so please also spread the word by sharing our page with your friends and family. Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot!

My Updates

The delights of anticipation

Friday 11th Jul
Anyone who knows my passion for reading has probably had an Anne of Green Gables quote slipped into conversation.  The title of this blog post continues the time-honoured tradition.

Today, I signed up for a walk in October to raise awarenss and, hopefully, money for Epilepsy Queensland. Like my literary friend Anne Shirley, the anticipation of events make them special. The countdown is on - 2 1/12 months until I'll be walking around 4km per day.
Things I plan on doing during the challenge to keep things interesting for myself:
Foot golf
Disc golf
A walk along the water front
A flat walk
A hilly walk (finding a place will be easy!)
A stationary bike challenge with a friend if anyone wants to volunteer to compete against me - first to 5km wins.

Last year, the challenge was too great and I didn't rinish all of the kms. This year, I've been training earlier and will do my best.

I delight in the anticipation of the walks, and possible donations. Check back here in October for updates about my journey.
