I’m taking part in Walk for Epilepsy around Australia for my Silas.

We just recently came back from a beautiful family holiday in Bali, we had a wonderful time, my biggest fear was while we were there, one of the kids would get sick and require medical attention thankfully this wasnt the case.

For those that don't know, Silas suffers from Febrile Seizure's. A slight temperature sets them off. He's just recently had his 7th seizure and they are SCARY, his whole body goes stiff, he shakes, foams at the mouth, goes blue, loses control of his bladder and is unconscious for a 10-15 minutes before waking very disoriented and then he will spend hours sleeping and recovering. We went away armed with will the meds, and all we'd need to save him if needed. As we were landing, he turned me to and says 'Mum I feel sick.' he falls asleep and sleeps mostly through the airport and drive home. Turning off the fwy, Billy looks behind to check him and screams, "His seizing." we pull off the road. Both with dead phones and no way of calling 000 his laying in Billy's arms blue and unconscious, 3 cars pass us until a lady finally stops and calls 000 for us. They arrive in 5 mins and off goes my baby, in an ambulance for 5th time in his short four years on earth, 7th admission for a febrile seizure. In a couple of weeks Silas will have another EEG and this will tell us if the seizures are just febrile related or if he has epilepsy, they think his first EEG was abnormal due to him being unwell at the time. This October, I'm taking part in the walk for epilepsy. I'm aiming to walk 4km a day a total of 124km. You don't have to donate, but I'm always up for a walking buddy, or if you see me walking, give me a little cheer and send our sweet Silas some healthy vibes.

I want to raise money and make a difference for people living with epilepsy. Please help me by giving whatever you can using the 'Donate' button. The more people that know about the walk, the greater the impact, so please also spread the word by sharing our page with your friends and family. Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot!
