I’m taking part in Walk for Epilepsy because...

I was diagnosed with JME in 2018 after a bizarre incident at school. Since this diagnosis, I have trialled 5 different antiepileptic medications with a multitude of side effects and have had to completely change how I go about my day to day life.

However, I have been incredibly fortunate to have an amazing Neurologist, Prof Mark Cook, who deeply cares for all of his patients and has supported me through this journey.
Although my epilepsy is well managed, there are many people who are not in the same position and are struggling every day.
So, I'm doing this for them!
