I’m taking part in Walk for Epilepsy because my son Jake was diagnosed with epilepsy at the age of 6. He is now 25 and after many, many different medications and procedures he is classed as medication resistant.
I want to raise money and make a difference for people living with epilepsy. Please help me by giving whatever you can using the 'Donate' button. The more people that know about the walk, the greater the impact, so please also spread the word by sharing our page with your friends and family. Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot!

Walking for Jake
Thursday 26th Sep My son Jake was diagnosed with epilepsy when he was 6 years old, he is now 25. It has been a very rollercoaster 19 years for us since his diagnosis. Jakes seizures were well controlled until he hit puberty. Since then he has been classed as medication resistant and it has been a battle trying to get his medications right to minimise the amount of seizures that he has. Many injuries, stitches, broken bones and hospitalisations have taken place over this time. Jake is about to undergo a procedure shortly called a DBS implant. Hopefully this will help to control his seizures. The research and supports for people suffering from epilepsy wouldn’t be possible without the donations provided by fundraisers such as this.Thank you to my Sponsors
