Our story 🩷

This year, our world changed when Frankie was diagnosed with epilepsy. Before then, I knew very little about epilepsy. I never realised just how much it could impact a child and their family, or how much strength it takes to navigate the uncertainty that comes with every seizure.

Watching your child experience seizures is something no parent should ever have to go through. The fear, the helplessness, the constant worry about when the next one might happen — it’s a battle that is difficult to put into words.

Since Frankie’s diagnosis, we’ve learnt more than we ever expected to about epilepsy, seizures, medications, appointments and the unknowns that come with them. But through it all, Frankie continues to be her happy, cheeky and beautiful self, and she amazes us every single day.

I’m walking/running/cycling for Frankie. I’m walking for every child and adult living with epilepsy, and for the families who stand beside them through the hardest moments.

I’m walking/running/cycling to raise awareness, to help others understand epilepsy, and to support research so that one day, fewer families have to face the journey we are on.
