I’m taking part in Walk for Epilepsy around Australia because...
Epilepsy QLD is a vital service for individuals, families and carers living with Epilepsy. This cause is very close to our hearts as our warrior Maliyah lives with Epilepsy. Epilepsy has such a profound impact on Maliyahs life from the big seizures she suffers, the ambulance and hospital trips and the numerous side effects from medications she takes to help control her seizures. Please help me by giving whatever you can using the 'Donate' button. The more people that know about the walk, the greater the impact, so please also spread the word by sharing our page with your friends and family. Our Warrior Maliyah
Tuesday 19th Sep Epilepsy has been such a huge part of Maliyahs year, what you see are the seizures, but what Maliyah goes through is so much more. The medication side effects, the fatigue, the fear of when the next seizure will hit, is she too hot and will it cause a seizure? It’s a constant stress on her and definitely Steve and I as her parents. We are constantly checking on her, making sure her rescue medication is close, looking at her demeanour to see if she seems “off”, making sure she can be a kid but still be safe. Epilepsy is a part of her but not all of her and she will continue living the best life possible while not letting Epilepsy own her. She is our Warrior!!! ShareThank you to my Sponsors
