I’m taking part in Walk for Epilepsy because...

I'm fundraising for epilepsy awareness because my daughter has Juvenile Myoclonic Epilepsy (JME), and her epilepsy is drug-resistant. Living with epilepsy has shown our family just how much misunderstanding and misinformation still exists about this condition. Many people don't realise that epilepsy affects everyone differently, and for some, seizures can't be controlled with medication.

By raising awareness, I hope to help educate others, challenge common misconceptions, and encourage greater understanding and support for the epilepsy community. The more people who are aware, the more compassionate, informed, and supportive our communities can become. 

People with Epilespy can still live life to the fullest and there is too much discrimination about it.
