I’m taking part in Walk for Epilepsy as
I'm here not just as an advocate for raising awareness and fundraising for epilepsy, but as someone who has seen firsthand the impact of epilepsy. My young daughter was diagnosed with a very rare, severe form of epilepsy at six weeks of age.
Epilepsy is a neurological condition that affects the brain, causing recurring seizures. It doesn't discriminate based on age, gender, or background and can significantly affect daily life—not just that of the person suffering, but also their loved ones supporting them.
This condition is a marathon, not a sprint. While we have made significant progress in understanding and treating the condition, we have still only just scratched the surface when it comes to epilepsy.
Continued research is crucial for developing and understanding better treatments, so we can continue to improve the quality of life for those suffering from the disease and hopefully one day find a cure.
You can help support this journey by spreading the word, so we can help create better lives for those who are suffering. Donations towards the cause, big or small, would contribute greatly to providing greater resources to hopefully one day get the upper hand in the fight against epilepsy."
To our Sophie you are a warrior. Any money will help.
