I’m taking part in Walk for Epilepsy because...

My 2 year old son Luka was recently diagnosed with Epilepsy, not realising the how many different types and things to look out for ,I want to raise money and make a difference for people living with epilepsy. Please help me by giving whatever you can using the 'Donate' button. Luka's Story

Sunday 27th Sep
On the 31st of August Luka had a febrile convulsion was taken to hospital by ambulance, after being examined by the hospital they put the seizure down to be a febrile convulsion due to him being unwell with influenza A and spiking high temperatures, 2 weeks later hes over he's illness and back to he's normal active cheeky self, back at daycare he woke up from a sleep and the educator picked him up out of the cot and put him down on the ground he's eyes flickered and rolled to the back of he's head he dropped back to the ground and hit he's head, the educator said he was very unsteady on he's feet and off balance about 5 mins later he vomited, we picked him up from daycare and brought him home, he seemed he's usual self very active running around playing with he's sister Charlotte later that night Luka had he's second episode just playing as normal, very similar to how the educator described it but this time was sort of like he spaced out he's eyes starred into space flicked rolled at the back of he's head and again dropped to the floor backwards with he's arm jerking. 
I had made an appointment with he's doctor for the next day so we went to the drs where she checked him out said he seems well and healthy but we will start an investigation into what is happening first I will give you a referral for a CT of the brain to rule out any brain injury or tumours etc, got the referral rang the hospital to try book him in as dr said they will need to sedate him due to him being so little and probably no chance of him staying still for it. Spoke to the lady doing the imaging she said to email through the referral as it will need to be triaged by doctors before we get an appointment. Thursday was a good day no episodes, I thought maybe he hit he's head was a little concussed anything but Epilepsy crossed my mind that night
Friday no issues went to daycare as normal educators said he had a good day and no incidents had occured I thought great I'm just over reacting everything is going to be ok, then we are walking down the Corridor
