My story

Saturday 7th Sep
On the 30th of October 2021 I had my first tonic clonic seizure. 
I went unconscious and convulsed for almost 2 minutes. 
I woke up having no clue what had just happened and to paramedics beside me.
I remember being told what had happened and just crying, I didn’t stop crying until I got to the hospital.
On the 17th of December 2021 I was diagnosed officially with Epilepsy. 
I experience more than one type of seizure and have seizures daily.
But epilepsy isn’t just seizures it’s,
- anxiety and depression 
- memory loss 
- behaviour and learning difficulties 
- sleep struggles
- extreme fatigue 
- school and social restrictions. 
I’m aware how quickly I get triggered . 
I cry, I get paranoid and angry easily. 
The struggles of battling this condition are the hardest feelings to put into words. 
I am doing this walk and raising money for this charity because all epileptics are just trying to live as normally as possible without being constantly misjudged and mistreated and I think it’s vital to raise money and awareness so that this is possible for us all.
