I’m taking part in Walk for Epilepsy because...
Being diagnosed with epilepsy just two years ago changed my life in ways I never expected. The journey hasn't been easy, and learning to navigate the challenges has taken strength, patience, and resilience. I want to turn my experience into something positive. I want to raise awareness, support others who are living with epilepsy, and help create a community where no one feels alone after their diagnosis. This walk is also about taking back control of my own life—choosing to move forward with purpose instead of letting epilepsy define me. Every step is a reminder that we are stronger together, and that by sharing our stories and raising awareness, we can make a real difference for people living with epilepsy now and in the future. he more people that know about the walk, the greater the impact, so please also spread the word by sharing this page with your friends and family. Thank you for your help, it means a lot!

Little bit about me and my journey with Epilepsy
Friday 31st JulI'm almost 20 years old, and I've been living with epilepsy for two nearly three years. When I was first diagnosed, it felt like my whole world stopped. I shut down completely—I barely went to school, stopped seeing my friends, avoided going out, and was too scared to even use public transport. Most days, I stayed locked away in my room because I didn't know how to cope with everything that had changed. It hasn't been an easy journey, and I'm still learning to live with epilepsy. I still have hard days and moments where fear takes over, but over the past few months, something has started to shift. Life is slowly becoming easier, and I'm beginning to find pieces of myself again. This blog is a place for me to share my journey honestly—the struggles, the small wins, and everything in between—in the hope that someone else living with epilepsy feels a little less alone.
