Hi Friends & Family! 👋 

For those of you who aren’t already aware, at the start of this year Will (at just 2 years of age) was diagnosed with Epilepsy. A phone call from daycare saying he was safe with the paramedics but that he had had a seizure was the start of our journey to his official diagnosis. Our very brave little man continued to have a variety of seizures which put him under the care of the Neurology Team at Queensland Children’s Hospital who we couldn’t praise enough, they are phenomenal! After observations and tests an EEG confirmed that Will was  having multiple seizures constantly, that he did in fact have Epilepsy; medical condition that we as a family knew little about. After a lot of learning and life adjustments for both us, the girls and Will we have now found our new normal. Will is currently on the Ketogenic Diet under QCH working simultaneously with the medications and he is doing amazingly; he is officially 5 months seizure free!! 

While those around us have been supportive in every way possible and we could not be more appreciative of all the love, support and help we have received (we truely are blessed)! We are also aware that before this year, we really didn’t  know much about epilepsy and what we really didn’t know was the number of people it has affected in some way! So Isla, Olivia and I would like to participate in this fundraiser to walk 100km in 25days  to both raise awareness of epilepsy and for funds to go towards research under Epilepsy Queensland. If you’re able to spare a small amount, your donation would be truely appreciated in helping us reach our donation goal of $500.
