I’m taking part in Walk for Epilepsy around Australia because...
We’re participating in The Walk for Epilepsy for our grandson Lewie, who had his first seizure a year ago and was diagnosed with Epilepsy shortly after. It’s been a challenging journey for Lewie and his family, with lots of seizures and impacting every aspect of Lewie’s life. Despite everything, Lewie has shown incredible bravery and resilience. Since moving to Victoria, Lewie, Alitta, David and Eddie have received outstanding support from The Epilepsy Foundation and The Royal Children’s Hospital, which together have given them hope and guidance for navigating Lewie’s epilepsy.
Throughout October, we’ll be walking to raise awareness about Epilepsy—a condition we knew little about until a year ago. We also aim to raise funds for The Epilepsy Foundation, which provides invaluable support to families facing Epilepsy. 💜
