My target 125 kms
I’m taking part in Walk for Epilepsy because...
One of the young women I teach lives with epilepsy and asked me to join her team for the Walk for Epilepsy.
It was an easy yes.
This October, I’ll be walking 125 kilometres to raise awareness and help people living with epilepsy. My goal is to raise at least $500, and every donation, large or small, will help.
Sometimes supporting someone means more than cheering from the sidelines. Sometimes you walk beside them.

WHY I’M WALKING 125 KM THIS OCTOBER
Monday 10th AugThis October, I’ll be walking 125 kilometres as part of Team Michaela in the Walk for Epilepsy.
Michaela is one of the young women I teach. She lives with epilepsy and asked me if I would join her team and support what she is doing.
It was an easy yes.
As an instructor and coach, I spend a lot of time encouraging people to challenge themselves, support others and take action when something matters. This time, Michaela was the one encouraging me.
So I’m putting on the walking shoes, although I suspect they’ll feel considerably less enthusiastic by kilometre 100, and aiming to raise at least $500 along the way.
More importantly, I’ll be helping Michaela raise awareness and show support for others living with epilepsy.
Thank you to everyone who has already donated or shared my page. Every contribution helps, but your encouragement and willingness to spread the word matter too.
Sometimes supporting someone means doing more than cheering from the sidelines.
Sometimes you walk beside them.
