I believe more research, awareness, and education is required surrounding the multifaceted nature of epilepsy and neurological disorders. Those who have controlled seizures, like myself, are among the fortunate of the epileptic community, but still must deal with the many side effects of the medications, social and legal stresses, and the constant fear of a episode occuring due to an unpredicted trigger. We need to understand these hidden disorders in more depth and provide more aid to all those that are affected by them, from the sufferers to those that support them.
