I’m taking part in Walk for Epilepsy around Australia because...

Those of you who follow me or my sister and brother-in-law will be well aware of my super cheeky niece Stella who was diagnosed with a super rare, only recently discovered genetic disability NEXMIF encephalopathy involving a number of challenges, but the most debilitating for Stella is Developmental Epilepsy, which we are still yet to gain seizure control despite Maddie & Mitchell’s relentless efforts of advocacy for Stella. This involves 5 different anti-epileptic medications, a ketogenic diet and rescue meds.

Anyone who has been touched by chronic illness or disability will understand the heartache of helplessness as you watch your sister literally fight for her child’s life.

So, in an effort to raise funds and most importantly awareness for Epilepsy, I am going to endeavour to walk 60km for my gal Stella.
