My Updates

2nd year for Eva

Sunday 6th Oct
Eva’s journey with Doose syndrome, also known as Myoclonic-Astatic Epilepsy (MAE), has been a challenging one. Over the last 2 years she has had just over 1,600 seizures to date.

I’m participating in this challenge not only because my good friend and his family are navigating the daily challenges that come with their daughter Eva’s condition, but also because it’s made me realize how important organizations like this are. Before Eva’s first seizure, no one knew she would ever need such medical support, and that uncertainty really struck me. It also got me reflecting on my own life. My partner and I have a 2.5-year-old daughter, and we hope to expand our family in the future. Seeing my friend’s family receive the help they deserve made me realize how vital these charities are, and inspired me to do what I can to support them. We never know when we might need that kind of support ourselves.
