I’m taking part in Walk for Epilepsy because...

Hi this is my walk for epilepsy every year since the walk began. I wasn’t sure I would walk this year I felt discouraged last year by a lack of support however that’s the reason I should walk. Epilepsy doesn’t just disappear and go away like a cold or a sore. Epilepsy is debilitating it’s life threatening it’s life changing it affects every single part of the persons life.

So here I am

Again walking

For my daughter

I’m proud to walk each year

This year as well as walking my kms I’m going to clock up the hours I play the cello this October. That’s over 40 hours already in my first week. I’ll be making posts here on that.

And: I DO want to raise money and make a difference for people living with epilepsy. Please help me by giving whatever you can using the 'Donate' button. The more people that know about the walk, the greater the impact, so please also spread the word by sharing our page with your friends and family. Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot! SHOW UP FOR THE PEOPLE WHO NEED THIS SUPPORT

My Updates

Half way and Double Donations

Friday 17th Oct
Made it to half way in the 100km challenge.
The double donation day today has pushed my total to over $1000 an amount that’s astonished me.
Thank you to our generous sponsors
Cello hours for the week clocked in at 23 hours and my fingers are sore haha!
It’s been a rough week for the family member with epilepsy she’s been struggling through a meds change that’s not helping at all
The balance between seizure threshold and meds is such a struggle and I can’t express the challenges she faces the grit the determination and then possibly the failure of the meds.
Just to be completely honest it’s a constant battle for every person with epilepsy ang that’s an important reason to donate and to know your donation is going towards research towards life quality towards awareness
Let’s keep talking and walking

Grateful

Friday 10th Oct
After the first week I put pen to paper in the digital sense to give thanks for my sponsors who have smashed my goal of $200 and raised the bar to an amazing $500. This weeks cello playing is dedicated to all of you!
Todays 5km was a tough walk I am tired so I FaceTimed my epileptic daughter whilst walking and that kept the feet in stride. Honestly I am so very proud of her. Tonight she’s making yet another milestone in her art story.
Ma chérie je suis très très fière de toi 💖
