I’m taking part in Walk for Epilepsy because of my son Avery.
He experiences Gelastic seizures a rare form of epilepsy that causes sudden, uncontrollable bouts of laughing or giggling. These are actually focal (or partial) seizures, and while they may appear harmless or even amusing, they are a serious neurological condition that affects his daily life. often caused by a rare brain lesion called a hypothalamic hamartoma.
He can have up to 10–15 seizures a day.
We're walking to raise awareness, support research, and stand with all the families impacted by epilepsy. 💜
