I’m taking part in Walk for Epilepsy for my son, Oliver
Our journey with epilepsy began nearly five years ago when our son, Oliver, experienced his first seizure at just 16 months old. Without any warning, he collapsed and started seizing, and although the episode lasted only three minutes, it felt like an eternity. Since then, we have faced over 60 seizures, numerous hospital visits, and multiple medications, yet we are still not seizure-free. We remain hopeful that Oliver's epilepsy is a form of childhood epilepsy that he will eventually outgrow, but we are also aware that he, like many others, may live with this condition for the rest of his life. This is why I participate in the Walk for Epilepsy, which raises essential funds for Epilepsy ACT and other organisations across the country. These funds enable them to continue providing vital support to individuals and families living with epilepsy
