I’m taking part in Walk for Epilepsy around Australia because...

As someone who’s been living with epilepsy most of my life, I know how hard it is to accept it and deal with it and I know how hard it was/is for my family to deal with it. I want to raise money and make a difference for people living with epilepsy and those who care for them as epilepsy doesn’t only affect us. Please help me by giving whatever you can using the 'Donate' button. The more people that know about the walk, the greater the impact, so please also spread the word by sharing my page with your friends and family. Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot to me and to millions more! 💜

My Updates

Update No. 1

Friday 6th Oct
I had a great start of the walk on Monday,  beautiful weather and beautiful scenery at the Fitzroy Gardens, Melbourne. However, the weather has been horrible last few days and seizures decided to pay me a visit on Wednesday afternoon. I had a focal aware seizure, my first in a year and a half and outside pregnancy, I recovered quickly from it with only migraines. I was honestly expecting it as I had 2 stressful days with little to no sleep, but it doesn’t make it less devastating because being a mum and caring for my 3-year old son who’s recovering from a surgery he had on Tuesday can trigger a seizure.
Seizures don’t only take a physical toll on us, the mental / emotional toll is much worse than the seizure itself.
