I’m taking part in Walk for Epilepsy...
to support my 5-year-old cousin, Eva, who has been bravely battling Doose Syndrome, also known as Myoclonic-Astatic Epilepsy (MAE). Over the past two years, she has faced the challenges of more than 1,600 seizures. Despite the difficulties, Eva’s spirit shines brightly, and her courage inspires everyone around her. This walk is not just about raising awareness; it’s also about advocating for research and support for families affected by epilepsy. I want to honor her strength and show her that she is not alone in this fight. Together, we can work toward a future where kids like Eva can thrive without the burden of seizures.
