I’m taking part in Walk for Epilepsy because...

One in 25 Australians will be diagnosed with epilepsy in their lifetime, and currently 270,000 Aussies live with the condition, and 30% are unable to gain seizure control with medication. All funds raised are donated to development and delivery of vital epilepsy support services, education/training and research. We need to destigmatise epilepsy. For many, epilepsy can significantly impact a person's education, sporting activity, employment,  lifestyle, health, social and family life. 

I will be walking from the Epilepsy Foundation Op Shop in Windsor and finishing at the Op Shop in Parkdale, via the Op Shop in Beaumaris. It will cover just over 25km to represent the 1 in 25 people that will be diagnosed in their lifetime. The walk will take approximately 6.5 hours.
