I’m taking part in Walk for Epilepsy because my son Tom deals with seizures every day and despite the battles he faces he still rises to the occasion to take on each day and get the most out of life.
I want to raise money and make a difference for people living with epilepsy. Please help me by giving whatever you can using the 'Donate' button. Sunday 26th Oct Well, I'm sorry to say I didn't make the 100km in 25days. I managed to achieve 72km in walks, falling short by 28km. I will endeavour to finish my 28km in the next few days. I thought 4km day would be easy, however when your child needs 24 hour supervision and has uncontrolled seizures it's actually quite difficult. It has made me realise the importance of trying to find the time for myself as a caregiver, even if it means the house chores get left behind. Thank you to everyone who has donated to this cause. Slow start
Friday 3rd Oct I was previously a fit active person so when the 100km in 25 days was up I thought no worries. But the reality is it's not that easy to get it done. Tom needs constant supervision, his seizure pattern is not controlled. So even though it's 4km a day I am finding it difficult, so it might be 1km of driveway or paddock walks multiple times per day, but here is to still getting it done ShareThank you to my Sponsors
