The low down

Tuesday 27th Sep
Hey guys
Some of ya would know I’ve had three brain surgeries now to try and get rid of my seizures.

At first it was a two week stay in hospital where they glue electrodes to ya head and take you off ya meds so they can record as many seizures as possible to find where they originate. That way they know what part of ya brain to cut out.

During my first two week stay I dislocated my shoulder during one seizure. The doc said it’s best to dislocate things after 40 cause there’s less chance of it happening again haha.

They thought they found the section where it all starts so they cut that it out but it only took two weeks for me to start having seizures again.

I went back in to hospital for another two weeks but this time they drilled 12 holes in my head so that they could stick tiny rods directly into my brain with 10 wires each to more accurately records my seizures.

They got some better info from that and found that it started in an area which is responsible for shorty term memory.  They ended up removing that section of my brain.

It’s worked so far and I haven’t had a seizure in over two years now.  There’s some other side affects from removing that section of my brain which have been tough to deal with as the docs told me there would be.

Well that’s the brief rundown.  Thanks to all those who have supported me along the way.
