Ms Morgan Keith Taylor
2005-2023
Morgan had never had a seizure in his life,
till he fell sick in June 2022.
Then he suffered from a continuous seizure.. ambulance medication looked like it was working, then he had another seizure.
Morgan was rushed to the John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle.
Morgan was in the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit in an induced coma and on life support for 3 weeks.
After a number of tests/scans/MIR’s and seizure medication, Morgan was still having four slight seizures an hour..
Morgan was put into a deep coma, where his brain waves were a straight line, and we waited 3 days to see if he would improve
Doctors say it was a miracle
Morgan improved everyday. Learning to move his legs and arms, trying to swallow food, and started to talk and walk again.
We have our boy back..
After 2 months in hospital, Morgan was home.
Still on a lot of Epilepsy Medication, that caused rage problems and memory loss.
Very frustrating for a 17 year old
Morgan still suffered from a few seizures but was able to recover by himself.
Until, one night, Morgan had a seizure that took his life. SUDEP Sudden Unexpected Death Epilepsy
