My story

Thursday 5th Sep
I was diagnosed when i was 21, i was 12 weeks pregnant with my first child when i was at a wedding and thr strobe lights were flashing i felt warm dizzy and sick as i was walking to the bathroom i vomited as i was walking back out to my mum i fell and hit the tables and chairs and that was the first of many seizures to come.. After many drs and tests i was diagnosed with epilepsy i was put on strong medications well that wasn't helping i was still having seizures i spent weeks in the ICU where i found out i was anaphylactic to some of the epilepsy medications then to pain medications my body seemed to give up while im still pregnant. The drs then decided when safe to take baby out early 9th april baby was coming. I was put under local as it was to risky for me to be awake, as they were taking baby i stoped breathing for 5 mins the drs resuscitating me.. My parents had to make the decision baby or mum, lucky for them we both made it. It hasn't been an easy ride i spent the next 10 years learning to live with epilepsy now that im 36 i suffer from nerve pain in the back of my head neck and shoulders painkillers dont work so it's botox to help with the constant pain. Every day is a battle but i get up out of bed each morning and make the most of what i have.
