I’m taking part in Walk for Epilepsy around Australia because...

That time of year again!! The walk for epilepsy!! This walk holds a special spot in mine and my families heart as our little girl, aged 4 was diagnosed with epilepsy at aged 2.5 years old, and had her first seizure at 11 months old. She’s been seizure free for 12 months now!!! We took part in the walk last year and loved it!! Thank you everyone for their support and love during our journey and for their continued support!!

My Updates

My reason why…

Wednesday 25th Sep
In 2021 my daughter who was quite 1 yet, suffered a hour and 45 minute long seizure, we were flown from our small country town to Orange. Since that day my daughter has suffered from numerous types of seizures and countless amounts of seizures. We’ve have all the testing imaginable and have spent many nights in the hospital and many night at the amazing Ronald McDonald houses. We were given the diagnosis of generalised epilepsy in 2023 and have been on medication to manage her epilepsy for about 12 months. She has come leaps and bounds and definitely doesn’t let her epilepsy stop her!! She surely is our little epilepsy warrior!! So I’ve made it my priority that every year from her diagnosis I will partake in the walk for epilepsy and raise as much money as I can to support others with epilepsy. And hopefully when my daughter is older she’ll choose to partake in the walks with me!! So please if you can even if it’s only $5 please donate to support me on my walk and to help others who live with epilepsy! Xx
