I’m taking part in Walk for Epilepsy around Australia because...
I want to raise money and make a difference for people living with epilepsy. 5 years ago now, while lying on a bed in a hospital the day after we had our first son I had a seizure. Never had them before and my wife (after having a C Section) jumped out of bed to see if I was ok. I was then diagnosed with nocturnal epilepsy and was put onto medication straight away. After having a second seizure not long after I had my medication changed and have not had a seizure since. My epilepsy came from no where and impacted my life at the time when I lost my licence for 6 months.

Tuesday 17th Oct This month has been very rewarding and not only due to me being able to get my story out there and raising money for Epilepsy but other personal reasons. One is due to adding a walk during lunchtime at work to ensure I meet my Kms I have discovered new Cafe's near my office which I have utilised and found a new favourite coffee place. The other is a positive one for my 8 year old Kelpie who doesn't get as much love and walked as much these days due to the kids taking all my time but this month she has been taken out for a walk most night after dinner. A thing I will be looking to implement permanently from now on. Share
Half way point
Friday 13th Oct I have now made it to the half way point of this challenge and sitting at half my Kms down and almost at my fundraising goal. The first half of October has been fun, the dog has defiantly enjoyed getting out for more walks and we have also tried to when we can incorporating a family walk after dinner each night. Share
First Walk
