I’m taking part in Walk for Epilepsy because...

My Niece lives with Epilepsy and it has had a massive impact on her most pivitol years. It breaks my heart to know the freedoms she has had to sacrifice these last years, for her health, living with Epilepsy. The cost isn't just one of financial burden, the time that Epilepsy has robbed from her and her family throughout the diagnosis and treatment process is something I wouldnt wish on any child/family.

I want to raise money and make a difference for people living with Epilepsy because I have both seen and lived with how scary it can be to not have answers to your own health. Battling your own body through trial and error, through doctor after doctor, appointments and waitlists. Her parents fought endlessly for answers, for her to recieve the care she needed. No ones child should be a death toll statistic!

Im not a parent, but if you are, I think you could certainly empathise how heartbreaking it is to see someone you care for experience a life altering diagnosis, feel like theres nothing in your control and want to fight with everything you have to take the pain and fear from the ones' you love. 

Thats why Im going to endure a little piece of pain and fear by walking 100km in 25days.
