I’m taking part in Walk for Epilepsy around Australia because...
I want to raise money and make a difference for people living with epilepsy, especially my daughter’s life. Emily suffers from severe migraines associated with epilepsy. Seeing her in so much pain is heartbreaking.
Please help me by giving whatever you can using the 'Donate' button. The more people that know about the walk, the greater the impact, so please also spread the word by sharing our page with your friends and family. Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot!

My pain is nothing compared to hers
Wednesday 2nd Oct Day 1 after my 5km walk I had to then go play a game of netball. Day 2 as I was walking I could feel my Achilles tightening. (Never do your Achilles. It’s an injury that takes forever to heal). As I was walking I thought to myself ‘my pain is nothing compared to the pain my daughter goes through with her migraines’. And with that in mind I let go and kept walking.
Rehab
Saturday 24th Aug In December last year I partially tore my Achilles tendon during my netball final. This has been the longest healing injury I’ve had to date. (I’ve had a few!) long walks cause a fair amount of pain through my Achilles so I’m needing to take it easy. Even a game of netball with my Achilles strapped hurts but I push through. Mindful though not to push it too hard. Hopefully with a few really short walks each week building to longer walks will help rehab and strengthen my Achilles. ShareThank you to my Sponsors
