At 27, I was diagnosed with epilepsy- a condition that would change my life in unexpected ways.

It took years of trial and error to find the right medication, and during that time, I experienced seizures that were not only terrifying for me but also for those who witnessed them. The unpredictability of when or where a seizure would happen added to the fear. Often, I would hit my head, bite my tongue, and wake up confused, with people around me worried and helpless.

Thankfully, with the right treatment, my condition is now better managed, but epilepsy remains a challenging and misunderstood condition for many. That’s why this year, I’m participating in the Walk For Epilepsy 2024 challenge. This walk is more than just a fundraiser for me—it’s a chance to raise awareness and help others who are still struggling to find answers. It’s a call to support those who, like me, have faced the frightening realities of living with epilepsy.

Every dollar raised will go towards crucial research and resources that can make a difference in the lives of people living with this condition.
