I’m taking part in Walk for Epilepsy around Australia because...

I want to raise money to help make a difference for people like myself, who are living with epilepsy. Epilepsy is a neurological condition where the neurons in the brain are disturbed and can cause recurring and unprovoked seizures. Epilepsy is a condition that can occur from factors such as a family trait, a brain injury or an unknown cause. There are multiple types of seizures and more than one can affect a singular person. I suffer from two kinds, absence and tonic-clonic (grand mal).
