My Updates

Just an idea

Monday 18th Sep
Why isn’t this campaign called Stepilepsy?
Thank me later.

Pretty stoked it’s Friday.

Friday 25th Aug
Some of my steps this week were to the neurologists office. Once again, no real change in the control of my condition.
I’m facing another medication increase so it’s yet to be seen how that will pan out.

I compare this week to other challenging weeks in the recent months and it makes it seem like I have it pretty easy now. But it’s not quite that simple.

The support I get from my dog and my friends/family is so heartwarming and so comforting.

It’s the motivation to keep going.
Not only to do these steps but to “keep on keeping on”

Moved house!

Sunday 20th Aug
As we all know, moving house is stressful already!

I had a seizure the day before I moved into the house I’ll be living in. On the front porch of the house.

We accept it, and we move forward.
My new housemate is a superstar already, doing all the right things during my postictal state.

I moved a lot yesterday!

First night back with my beautiful pooch in TOO LONG (personal) but the comfort she provides is second to none.

I couldn’t be happier to have her back and to be participating in this walk. She’s gonna get some serious steps in too!

We logged some serious steps yesterday, but I undercut myself on the kilometres by jumping for joy.

The Start!

Thursday 17th Aug
Here we are!
I’ve been living with epilepsy for (roughly) 17 years now and still manage to put on the brave face sometimes.

I’m a 30 year old male who works full time slingin’ coffee, training Jiu Jitsu, and patting as many dogs as possible.

This year - I’m gonna walk as much as I can. Bear with me while I track my steps, maybe a few sweaty selfies, and a call for help for donations (or help with apps like Strava)

Donate when and where you can!

Thanks for your time, legends.
Time to rack up these KMs.
